Children of Fat
Parents – The Oprah Connection To Child Abuse
Fattening up a child so that he or she is at increased risk
of developing physical, emotional and mental disorders is child
abuse.
Nutritional
child abuse is the most common form of child abuse
of which we are aware.
“Studies have shown that a child's risk of obesity
greatly increases if one or more parent is overweight or obese.” [i]
The most significant predictor of childhood
overweight/obesity is parental overweight/obesity.
[ii]
Basically, fat
parents raise fat kids.
Keeping
adults fat increases their likelihood of having fat children who are at
greater risk of developing the problems associated with nutritional
child abuse.
Oprah and her
experts promote diets that are doomed to fail.
Failed
dieters remain fat (and get even fatter) thus placing
their children at increased risk of being nutritionally abused.
Clearly, Oprah and her hand-picked experts are part of the child abuse problem.
